Violet Arts

Violet Arts is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that empowers and celebrates neurodivergent stories through creative community arts projects. The company has been set up as a response for a need to empower women to find a creative voice.

Our mission is to:

EXPLORE : Playfully and boldly explore female focused stories through creative arts practices.

EDUCATE : raise awareness and understanding of contemporary female issues with a focus on the Neurodivergent experience through artistic expression.

EXPRESS : Encouraging all members of the Violet Arts community to be their true authentic self, to take up space and explore stories they wish to tell in a supportive, nurturing and joyful environment.

Violet arts is an inclusive organisation that welcomes all those who identify with and relate to the female experience. This organisation was founded by artist Dora Colquhoun as a response to a need for creative projects that centred around the female experience with a view to make positive societal change.
